Mud Terrain tyres. Were originally made to provide the vehicle with traction. Therefore, that could go anywhere. They were developed to give the 4X4 driver.Excellent durability. Whilst also giving good wear and traction in any weather.Hence, that the vehicle could come up across.Including heavy snow falls.Mud tyres, wear technically designed with the help of racing tyres. As a result and were derived from a “cut-chip and tear-resistant tread compound”. This would give the tyres tread exceptional grip. Also and wear resistance when driving on roads that would normally tear tyres to shreds, such as gravel roads.

The compound on these  tyres. Are therefore generated from computers.Hence, to provide the tyres with tread patterns. Also, with high-void all-terrain pattern. Thus, with interlocking   tread blocks. This is also backed by placing the sipes. Consequently, in a way that rejects and throws out pieces of grit and gravel. At one time tyres with many sipes would also be noisy. As a result, when driving on normal tarmac roads. The Mud Terrain tyres, with all their siping can now run much quieter, on normal tarmac roads, due to the computer design.

Pirelli F1 PZero Purple-The New F1 2016 Ultra soft Tyre

Pirelli F1 PZero Purple
Pirelli F1 PZero Purple

Pirelli F1 PZero Purple – Purple is the colour of the stripe around the sidewall of the new tyre for dry conditions, as chosen by a flood of votes on social …

In my opinion. This is a great choice of tyre.Hence, to add to the Pirelli family of F1 tyres.Hence, the tyre looks good in its bright purple lettering?  if you are a tyre or an F1 racing enthusiast.

In the 2016 coming race season. Pirelli will be using their medium compound tyres(white). Hard compound (orange)and soft compound (yellow) with supersoft (red) compounds. Consequently, these will be joined by a fifth ultra-soft (purple) compound. Thus, the softest compound in the Pirelli racing range.

The racing will be more exciting. Because the winning team would have made all the right decisions. Including, the correct tyres to race on.Hence, that particular day? The previous race seasons have brought Pirelli tyres much controversy. Drivers and officials have been blaming the tyres. As a result,  for all sorts of problems.

In fact at one stage. I thought that Pirelli would lose the contract. Indeed, to their arch enemy Michelin tyres. Undoubtedly, who were in the hunt for the lucrative F1 tyre contract. Things settled down towards the 2015 season and Pirelli came up trumps, in the bidding war. Pirelli also brought out some new tyre compounds. Including the new Pirelli F1 PZero Purple, softer compound.

Pirelli F1 PZero Purple

As we are speaking about the 2016 race season, then The BBC has learned that the FIA, which governs F1, will instruct Pirelli to design a tyre that will allow drivers to push hard for longer.

Pirelli chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera told teams and drivers at a meeting earlier this month, where dissatisfaction with the current tyres was discussed, that it could produce whatever the F1 wanted as long as it had clear commission.

Pirelli has been given preliminary information about the performance the cars are expected to have in 2017 so it can start working on tyre design.

The FIA plans to outline how it wants tyres to perform and will provide all necessary data to the company by the end of March.

Checking-Your Tyre Pressures- Buy Tyres Online- Pellon Tyres- Same Day Fitting in Halifax UK

Checking Your Tyre Pressures

Checking Your Tyre Pressures;90% of vehicles that visit our centres have the incorrect tyre pressure. Here’s our guide for how to check https://t.co/A3iPzBrR2B

What if i dont know my tyre pressures?
This is one of the questions that is asked by some of my customers here at Pellon Tyres in Halifax Yorkshire UK. Apart from the internet, vehicle car manufacturers often place the tyre pressures in three locations of the car.
Here are the three places:
⦁ Inside the drivers door on the door frame
⦁ Inside the petrol-diesel cap
⦁ In the vehicle manual
If you are in the Halifax area then we will always supply the tyre pressures for your particular car model.
We recommend though that you keep your own tyre pressure gauge as part of your cars tool kit. They are only small items and can even be kept with your locking wheel nuts under the dash. Gauges are on offer at most car accessory stores and also from Michelin and the road safety organisations, here in the UK we have the AA and the RAC.
I can also give you drivers a few simple tips that you should remember about tyre pressures and inflating your tyres.
a. Always keep your valve caps in a safe place when inflating and checking your tyre pressures. if the caps are cracked or broken, then replace them with new ones.
b. Try not to damage the thread on your tyre valves. Some valves are Tyre Pressure Motoring Systems and if damaged are expensive to Checking Your Tyre Pressuresreplace. So do not force the tyre pressure gauge or the air-line onto the tyres valve and damage the thread.
c. Always check the tyre pressures when the tyres are cool preferably before you start a journey. Heat builds up in the tyres and they will give the wrong tyre pressure reading.
d. Check each tyre more than once to ensure that you have a good fit between the tyres valve and the pressure gauge.
Any good tyre centre will do this job for you free of charge, including us at Pellon Tyres here in Yorkshire UK. This should also be done FREE of charge.

Winter Sottozero Tyres; This is the stuff that proves the benefits of fitting winter tyres. These top of the market sports saloons can really show off when

driven with the correct tyres for the job? in this case the Pirelli Sottozero 3 tyres. Italian flare car s using Italian flare tyres, a great combination. Pirelli also produce many other great winter tyre products including the one in the picture the Scorpion Ice winter tyre. The Winter Sottozero Tyres are a product that has been developed by Pirelli tyres to fit the super car range, including this Maserati. These cars are well equipped to speed down the German motorway system at 150 MPH and then drive up the snow covered mountain roads that lead to the ski resorts in Austria and Switzerland.

For the small to medium cars, then the Pirelli Cinturato All season is the tyre for them. This tyre can be left on the car the all year round. If however you live in a more northern area with heavy snow falls then i would suggest that you went for the Scorpio Ice and Snow tyre.

This tyre is a more aggressive tyre in the snow and ice of countries such as Norway and Sweden, who are likely to witness very harsh winters. These recommendations are of course aimed at the driver who is a complete Pirelli tyre fan. Other tyre makes are just as good but Pirelli have a very good name and a large following

The more up to date type of vehicle driver, would own a SUV vehicle. it is most advisable to fit all-weather pr winter tyres to these vehicle,as most of them are useless in bad weather, for these Pirelli advise the Scorpion Winter.

Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch-India’s first football pitch made from recycled rubber

Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch

"<yoastmark

Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch

The Mumbai Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch was inaugurated by Satish Sharma, president, Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Apollo Tyres and ex English footballer Bryan Robson.

This will be a truly great innovation?a football pitch made from recycled rubber.

This is not the first time that we here at Pellon Tyres have heard about the Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch. When we first started to deal with Apollo tyres,(after been introduced to them by Point-S), we were asked if there was any junior football clubs who needed an all weather training pitch.

We immediately came up with a local Yorkshire junior football club. Called “Tingley Rangers”. Their football pitches were continuously water logged in the winter months. The pitches were not playable. Neither could the players train, because of the bad and water logged fields.

Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch

However We were told about the  Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch, which was suitable for the training area at Tingley. This would have been great for the players to train on during the winter and the club was very excited at the prospect of training on an all weather pitch.

Time went by. So we kept in touch with Apollo representative. Concerning, when the pitch would be laid. We now know that we were being put off. By the giant tyre company. We were eventually told that the Apollo Tyres Rubber Football Pitch idea had been cancelled due to unknown reasons. The club were very disappointed and so was i.

We thought that the  Rubber Football Pitch idea had been put to rest and i was surprised to see that a whole football pitch as been built in India?

Perhaps Apollo will be able to explain their change of mind?

As long as it is affordable it could be a great success. I believe that the  Rubber Football Pitch, could be available for training pitches for amateur football clubs here in the UK, but when i dont know.

Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre-ATR, Mud Tyres, SUV tyres

Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre

Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre

Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre;If you need mud tyres, perfect on the road too, choose SCORPION™ ATR: it facilitates the most demanding off-road driving and guarantees maximum comfort on all types of terrain.

This new Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre, from Pirelli, follows in the new trend from tyre makers, of having a summer tyre with winter capabilities. The new Pirelli Scorpion has an heavy duty off road tread pattern that will allow the driver to go off road.

This is beneficial for the SUV driver. Most SUV’s come out on a normal summer tyre, which are useless off road or on snow and ice. Most drivers go off road a little even if it is only on a grass verge.

I have seen SUV’s actually stuck on a grass verge or on the edge of a school playing field.

Last summer our local football club.Held a very popular car boot sale. It was held on the actual football field. Hence, with car parking near bye. The day started off nice and sunny. But was later followed by a real heavy downpour of rain.

I could not believe how many drivers were stuck on the wet grass. The bigger the vehicle the more stuck they were? the large BMW and Mercedes SUV vehicles suffered the most. I always recommend, that they fit an all weather tyre when they replace the first set of tyres. This new Pirelli Scorpion looks ideal for the job.

Pirelli Scorpion SUV All season tyre

Other tyres from the Pirelli winter range include the “SCORPION™ WINTER” which have been especially  designed to fit modern SUVs and CUVs, for the use of winter motoring, with a special emphasis on the upper end class of vehicle, including the SUV’s and cross-over vehicles.

The main reason for this tyre was to control better down-hill braking and cornering in snow and other winter road conditions, whilst keeping total control of your vehicle. These were especially designed with the larger size tyres fitted to the likes of the BMW and Mercedes people carriers, to help in bad winter weather conditions.

Spare Wheel problem-If you’re driving one of these vehicles, you don’t have a spare tyre

Spare Wheel problem

"<yoastmark

Spare Wheel problem;AAA is calling on automobile manufacturers to stop eliminating spare tyres from new car models.

cars without spare wheels?

This is one of the most stupid things to come out of the auto industry. I recommend that my customers should either buy a spare wheel themselves or join one of the motoring organisations such as the AAA in the USA or the AA here in the UK.

The idea was to lighten the weight of the car to save on the environmental impact and make the cars greener, but the car manufacturers must have saved themselves a fortune by leaving out a spare wheel.

The AAA in America are complaining in this article about the lack of a spare wheel, but i bet their membership has gone up recently?

Listening to my customers in Halifax UK, then there really is a Spare . Or the lack of a Spare Wheel problem, to be precise. it tends to be the older guys who do have a problem. Perhaps that is due to the amount of driving experience that they have had, combined with the number of times that a Wheel problem has occurred.

Spare Wheel problem

Lets face it when you do have a puncture, it is usually in some awkward spot? the last one that i had was when boarding a ferry to France, with five screaming kids sat in the back. We had to carry on driving onto the ferry, before i could attempt to change the wheel.

I had to unload all the holiday stuff to get at the spare wheel, but at least i had one. You would be surprised at the number of drivers that have been stuck with a Spare Wheel problem? the problem being is that they did not have one?

When they bought the car it was the last thing on their mind!! DOES THE CAR HAVE A SPARE WHEEL??

Pirelli Tyre Choice-Pirelli explains new 2016 tyre choice plans for Formula One cars

Pirelli Tyre Choice

"<yoastmark

Pirelli has explained how it expects a new system to allow teams more tyre choice freedom in 2016 will work – as teams close in on finalising the regulations.

late on in the 2015 season The F1 governing body chose between Pirelli and a new bid from Michelin. Both these great tyre companies wanted to change the way that the tyre system operated for the 2016 season. Pirelli retained the franchise and also came up with some new ideas.

In the 2016 season Pirelli will now odder the racing teams three dry tyre compounds. This will be instead of the two offered in the 2015 racing season . The three compounds will cover the full racing weekend.

it gets a little complicated, with Pirelli allocating two sets of tyres for each race. Only one set though, can be used. It also offers one set of the softest compound tyres, that can only be used in Q3.

To finalise every driver will be able to choose a further ten sets of tyres from all three compounds. This will take their race allocation to thirteen sets of tyres.

Pirelli Tyre Choice

Each driver will then be able to choose 10 further sets from the three compounds to take their weekend allocation to 13.

I think that if you take some control out of choice of tyres, then you may be showing different skills? Michelin tyres wanted to come up with a similar proposition, but were pipped at the post by Pirelli, who also had some new ideas of there own.

In the 2016 coming race season Pirelli will be using their medium compound tyres(white),Hard compound (orange), soft compound (yellow) and supersoft (red) compounds. These will be joined by a fifth ultra-soft (purple) compound. The softest compound in the Pirelli racing range.

The racing will be more exciting because the winning team would have made all the right decisions including the correct tyres to race on, that particular day?

Vredestein tyres have always been strong in the making of winter tyres. The Apollo tyres plans included the joint names of the companies. The name has now become Apollo/Vredestein.

Apollo tyres plans also include the setting up of a tyre retail network.  Which was the previous Vredestein dealer network.  Made up of independent tyre retailers and now the addition of the Point-S tyre organisation.
